![]() ![]() I ran into my first noticeable problems with Symantec Antivirus for Mac when I updated a very new 2017 MacBook Pro from Mojave to Catalina. This product didn't seem to be doing any harm, and based on my prior Windows experience I felt somewhat 'naked' working on the internet with absolutely nothing between my computer and the world for security. I had used Norton/Symantec products on Windows systems since the days of Windows 3.1, so it seemed prudent to continue using Norton Antivirus for Mac when I switched over to Macs in 2007. □ DaveĪntivirus Software / Anti Malware on Mac OS 11.4? I know that I am asking a well-worked question with the subject of using third party software for virus and malware detection, but I do have some specific concerns. I personally have not had any problems with it, Intego X9 Barrier software (full registered version and kept updated) has run alongside it quite happily and has not reported suspicious behaviour.Īre these rumours true and should I remove CleanMyMac X and ask for a refund? I have never had any real problems with it other than deleting cookies for Facebook, causing me to re-enter my passwords etc, no big deal. In 1996 to 2004 I was employed as a futurist and the person responsible for finding talented and creative coders and application developers (Project Manager). All my software is fully registered and I have purchased/own all of it, nothing is shareware or pirated software. I am also running Intego Suite X9 Barrier software to stop any Malware or online intrusions. I have this Mac fully updated as far as the Mac OS X is concerned. I purchased the full version of CleanMyMac 2 (it came bundled with my Apple Mac OS X software CD's) through the Apple store back in 2010 when I first purchased this Mac Computer I am using now directly from Apple Computer: I am trying to post to Mac and software issues.
